What age did your Child start: (Cross post)

Walking
Talking
Feeding themselves
Picking up toys (to hold/rattles, etc)?
Communicating their needs (other than whining/grunting)?
Crawling (Army/etc)?
Holding their head up without support of a couch/pillow?
Holding themselves up w/out support of anything?

I know all babies develop at different paces, but the reason for these questions is simple, my 1yr old step son is not doing any of these things!
I've tried talking to his Bio-Mom, but she is like talking to a tree stump, she sees nothing wrong with him, and says " He'll get to it when he's ready." I can not for the life of me understand why this woman isn't willing to get her son the help he needs (I'm not the only one that's said something even her PED said something to her about it).

  • walking- right at 12 months
talking- first word, 6 months, gabber, all the way untill 1/2-2 with few clear demands (baba, eat, momma, ect)
feeding himself- with a utensil?? 10 months i think? finger foods, 5-6 months
    toys- 3-4 months
communicating their needs- he is JUST NOW talking alot with full sentences and all at 2 1/2
crawling- scoot- 4 months army 5 months reg crawl, 10-11 months... i think...
holding his head up when holding him- before a month otherwise i think about 2 months
holding himself up w/o support- sitting 5 months standing was gosh, i think 6 or 7 he was pulling himself up...

this is not good, and honestly could be constituted as a form of neglect. Tell your friend if she honestly cares about her child she will get him the medical attention he deserves, it sounds as though he has developmental delays and if not treated, could become permanent.
