  • We don't ovbserve 'Columbus Day" because we believe it shoud be 'Founders Day". We don't observe MLK Day we believe It should be Civil Rights Day. MLK did a lot towards civil rights..but it was the people, all the people who marched, and sang, and sat at lunchcounters that are not being celebrated. That's just the way we view it.

  • i dont celebrate Xmas, Thanksgiving, Easter. Because i am wiccan and i do celebrate Yule (winter solstice) i have a Yule tree not a christmas tree. We buy gifts, decorate. we do not celebrate the massacre of the native indians.. and Easter is a christian holiday stolen from the pagans. I celebrate the goddess of Fertility the holiday is called Ostara. We do Celebrate Samhain aka Halloween..

  • I don't celebrate most holidays. I'm with busybumblebe848 on what I do celebrate, only I consider myself Eclectic Pagan. I celebrate Christmas with my family because they're all Christian, but I only do the family gather and exchanging of gifts.

  • I don't celebrate the vast majority of them... Any hallmark holidays like Mothers & Fathers day, I see as purely pointless. That goes for Valentines day as well. I prefer to show my loved ones I love them every day rather than designate a day just to prove it... I don't really do anything to celebrate Labor Day, Memorial Day, July 4th or "Patriots Day" simply because we never did growing up and they've always just been another day for us... Thanksgiving has a horrid ugly history around it and I don't feel it's proper to celebrate the destruction of a native culture.

Beyond that I don't do Easter or Christmas because I'm not Christian, but since my DH is I do at least participate in those...
