What is this?

My dd found and gave me a coin that looks like a 2 cent piece. It looks like a penny but has the #2 and a blade of wheat on one side and what looks like a cross on the other. Above the cross it say HELVETIA (all capitals) and 1955.

I've never seen a coin like this. Anyone one know what it is and if its worth anything?

Swiss??? Does it look like that one?? It's value depends on what sort of shape its in....might be worth ten cents...might be worth $20...I'd just hold onto it!!

  • Sarafina542,

That was it! Thanks, my kids were really interested to know more about this coin too. My ds recently began a coin collection so he'll love this. :-)
