  • It all starts fairly simply; most healthy formula-fed newborns take 2 or 3 ounces of formula per feeding, and eat every 3 or 4 hours. By one month of age, most have increased on their own to about 4 ounces every 4 hours. By six months, the amount at each feeding has increased to 6 or 8 ounces, but the frequency has dropped to 4 or 5 times a day. By timing these larger feedings while you are awake, your baby won’t need to eat in the middle of the night. --dr. greene

  • I have not had an infant in a while. I would say as long as she is holding food down she can eat up to six ounces at a time.

Sorry I can not be more help. Good Luck

  • at three weeks old she should take at least an ounce and probably not more than 4 which equates to between 30 and 120 ml However once she hits about 4-6 weeks she will probably go through a growth spurt and may take up to 6 ounces which would be 240ml GOOD LUCK!

  • at 3 weeks, my little guy was taking about 2 oz, then bam wanted 4 oz.. was his first growth spurt. Babies stop eating when they are full so just give as much as your little one will take. If they spit up, yeah it is messy, but better then starving your child. At 3 weeks old I was making 2 oz bottles, if he finished a bottle, then i would make another. Most of the time he was good with 2 oz at a time until the last night feeding he would eat almost 5 oz.
