How long should you take to wean a 6 month old from breastfeeding?

I am trying to wean my daughter and have dropped one nursing session over the last week. She is taking 1/2 breastmilk and half formula in her bottles. She has adjusted fine. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

  • Just do it slowly. I weaned my daughter, but was able to keep the night time nursing for months. It was nice.

  • did you just cut out a nursing session every couple weeks and mix breastmilk with formula gradually increasing formula to milk ratio?

  • I cut out a nursing session and replaced with a bottle of formula. I never gave breast milk in a bottle.
