  • No I dont think that it is ok. I think that it is something that he should get when he is older. Just my opinion.

  • No, I would not - and my girls weren't allowed to make that decision at age 5 either.

    And why is it that we think as parents that we are to give children every thing they want? What is there to look forward to, to earn, to strive for if we just give everything upon demand? What are we doing to the excitement of growing up, of reaching certain milestones, of attaining an age with a privilege attached?

  • I think ear piercing is for people old enough to be responsible for their own ear care, old enough to be responsible for tiny earrings and old enough to make their own decisions. I absolutely do not think that a 5 year old is any of those things, regardless of if he "wants" it.

  • to me...girl or boy I would have them wait until they are 12-13. That way they can take care of the ears/holes themselves.
