  • hmmm, i honestly can't remember when i started baby carrots, but i would think if you just gave her small bites that she could crunch on it should be dogs i still don't give my kids just for the health factor...well that and i watched a documentary on how hotdogs were made in Nutrition class last year in college.....but I believe for choking factor, my doctor told me 5 yrs old....

  • My children had hotdogs at around 15 months or so cut in circles then in half to make half circles. My DD is 2 and a half and just started raw baby carrots. At around q8 months I would kind of steam them a little just to take some of the crunch out.

  • My son is almost a year and I give him carrots, but only if they're cooked. As for hot dogs, I've given him tiny little pieces, but I've removed the skin. He has 8 teeth and chews foods really well. I'm still always cautious though, and supervise him anytime he eats anything. I would say hot dogs should be fine as long as you remove the skin and cut them into really small pieces. As for the carrots I might wait a little while, or I'd steam them.

But i was kinda wondering abou t baby carrots...just because they are soo hard....maybe i will steam them and give them to her that way....As far as weiners go i think i am a bit nervous about them cause i have heard soo many storys about kids choking on them!
