  • i tried the paid surveys. You basically have to spend hrs on these surveys and once you do so many you get paid or a "cance" to get money. NOT worth your time. I started watching children for extra $ and then after awhile got state licensed and did care from my home. made great money and got to stay home with my kids.

  • Don't do it. It's a scam! I agree on watching kids as lovmyhubby mentioned. Or you could try Avon or MaryKay.

  • Do you have a former employer you could work for remotely?
You can search for jobs that match you skill set and have a telecommute option.
If you have a computer with high speed internet & Microsoft Office Pro & have at least intermediate MS Office skills, you should be able to find work as a virtual assistant (VA). For more information, go to http://www.ivaa.org/ , http://www.iavoa.com/ , http://www.vanetworking.com/ ..
Do you have a skill or experience that you can turn into a home based business? I have a friend who makes children's hair accessories in her basement & sells them to boutiques around the Midwest. My husband runs a handyman business from our home. I work from home with two lines of business; I do freelance bookkeeping & business organization, I also do career and job search coaching; additionally, I handle the business end of my spouse's business, and do medical billing and coding one day a week for one of

  • In NYC, I'd either start a small dog walking service or pooper scooper - seriously you can make good money with a nominal amount of time / effort. I know it sounds terrible, but it works!

  • Paid surveys are not really worth your time. I'd suggest if you need to work at home and will have free time with no distractions, apply to West At Home, LiveOps, Convergys, or other companies. Check out www.workathomenoscams.com, Eddy has a lot of different work at home companies there and he also reviews different work at home programs.
