What goes good with meatballs? (and don't say spaghetti!)

I'm talking about the meatballs that you get and put on the crockpot for things like showers. I just want to throw them in before church some Sunday, but wonder what would go well with them?

  • Easy one for me. I make variations to swedish meatballs and then just buy some good long rolls and maybe a cheese platter if I'm feeling generous. Simple sandwiches! GL!

  • I like to put meatballs in rice with brown gravy and add different veggies. Nice variation on a stew :)

  • Are you talking side dishes? I would do cole slaw, it's great if you're doing the meatballs in bbq sauce.

  • I've used them for spaghetti, for meatball sandwhiches, and once I threw some in with mac and cheese. Use what you know your family likes and be creative.

  • Rice or Buttered Noodles. Have a gravy and that should go well.

  • Since I'm celiac lol... I usually do rice. I find the celiac pastas get too mushy. Yuck.

  • Mashed potatoes! Or make swedish meatballs and serve over pasta, or even rice. But homemade mashed potatoes are our favorite!
