    Those are all books that I read to my kids to love.

    As far as being read to as a child, I remember my Mom reading The Pokey Little Puppy to me...that's about it.

  • It is not a classic, but I loved a book called Baby Island about two pre-teens who got stranded on an island with three babies. Read it over and over. Also, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a great read for older kids and grown up kids.
