  • I believe they did a transvaginal with me at 12 weeks (actually 10 weeks--I was bleeding, so they were checking). But I don't know if that's normal for every pregnancy.

  • Usually vaginally but if you are super thin, they may be able to see something abdominally. But there's always a chance they will still change over to vaginally if they can't get an angle they need.

  • I had a 9 week done on my abdomen. I had a super, super, super full badder. So, they may do it on the abdomen, but you may want to be prepared for a transvaginal.

  • I used to work in radiology and generally 12 week sonos are done transvaginally.
