How do I clean my hammock?

I got a great deal on a handmade cotton hammock from Mexico. After it being hung up for the summer it looks dingy and I wonder a good (preferably chemical-free) way to clean it

  • I would try Tough & Tender and Sol-U-Mel - ( combine 1 1/2 tsp of Tough & Tender and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel in a 24 ounce bottle of water.) Spray it on - let it sit - and hose off. You can take a look at these chemical free products at www.SaferForYourHome.com - contact me if you would like more info.

  • A vinegar/water solution would do well.

  • I would try the vinegar and water (use white vinegar) you might want to also try adding some baking soda to the mix (expect it to foam up) then hang to dry.
