Folic Acid

Does anyone have any suggestions of brands of folic acid or prenatals?

  • Brand doesn't matter.
    If multi-vitamins don't upset your tummy, any prenatal vitamin will be fine.
    If they do upset your tummy, try Centrum Children's Chewables. The content is nearlly identical to the most popular prenatal vitamins.

    Remember, you need to start taking the folic acid several weeks BEFORE you are pregnant. If you are low on folic acid there is a small chance that the baby will have spinal chord problems and these problems develop in the first few weeks - before you even know you are pregnant.

  • Even if you didn't take folic acid b4 you got preggo, most of the time its not a problem if you have a decent diet. But I agree with her, you can even take flinestones kids vitamins
