At one, two, three months....

I am a single young mother. Brooke, my daughter, will be a month old on the 25th of this month. What will she be doing or be able to do at 1 month? Two months? Three months?

  • I am a first time mother, my daughter is now 5 months old. Something I have learned is that all babies develop at WAY different rates! Kaylee was rolling over with no problem at 3 months, and my friends daughter (1 1/2 months older - so 4 1/2 months) had barely attempted to roll over at all.

A book that helped me though, to look for a guideline and knowing what to expect was

    "Your Baby's First Year" - Steven P. Shelov, M.D.

It cover everything from birthing your baby all the way up through your child's first birthday.

Congratulation's on your new arrival momma, and you can e-mail me if you have any questions I might be able to help with :)

  • Your baby will be holding her head up during tummy time soon... Also following objects with her eyes for short periods of time. She will begin smiling on purpose, and hold eye contact for a little longer.
The first three months is basically sharpening these skills... The big changes come between 3-6 months (at least for mine).
