Who helps with homework?

When your child/children needs help with homework who helps them?
Typically I help my son because my husband gets home later in the evening. As far as math goes though, I let my husband help because numbers make me break out into a cold sweat. lol

  • I'm all they've got as far as help.

Once they get older and get into heavy physics, they can ask their grampa for help. He has a PhD in it!

  • Both my husband and I always helped out with homework. Whichever one of us was available at the moment needed, or whichever one of us had a better understanding of what needed to be done, ...etc... is the one that helped out. Sometimes, some assignments (especially once my son hit high school) took both of us helping out.. lol

  • I help if I can, but I feel its the educator's job. I don't push HW in our house too hard. My boys have Autism and its a long enough day for them as it is. Its not worth the meltdowns while the meds are wearing off to do HW. Kids deserve to relax, too.

  • We all chip in to help with homework, between myself, DH and older siblings. We all have our areas of expertise.

  • Both my husband and I help with homework. I'm good at science, biology, health, social studies, but when it comes to any kind of math, english, or language arts I let him take over.

  • It's uaually me. I could be upstairs doing something and my husband will be in the kitchen where the kids are doing homework and they'll come and ask me for help. (not that he help they just prefer me) it drives me crazy sometimes. There are times I'm not sure on something do daddy steps in.

  • I do. If my husband is home at the time they are doing it, he will help a little bit.

  • Usually me since I'm home. My husband has been home the first 2 weeks of school (he goes back to work on Wed...we just had a baby) and helped a few days. But once he goes back to work he'll be working nights so it will be all me.
