Do you prefer male or female singers?

We are having a debate at work about if women prefer male or female singers in general and when it comes to love songs. Curious what others think?
I will share my opinion after I see what some of you think.

  • Male singers depending on the song, but my all time favorite singer is a female.

  • I like both and for different reasons. For some reason when I hear a man singing I often think of making my husband feel/think like the guy is singing. But when it's a woman I often feel that way towards my husband. I know corney! lol

  • Male! All the way.

  • I said that I liked certain music based on my mood, for me it is not so much about male or female. I work in advertising and they wanted to say that women like a mans voice more and that we should never use a females voice in ads for woman's products, but I think that it is a crazy notion.
Anyone with me on it being situational ? I'm curious why some of you say what you say?
I appreciate the feedback btw... Thank you
