Any ideas to help relieve discomfort of Sinus infection

I was given Allegra by the doctor and it doesnt seem to be helping at all. I still have the sinus headache, sore throat, etc. I am even using a humidifier to help my stuffy burning nose but thats not working either. Is there anything else I can do to help?

  • Netti pot w/ warm saline (salt water). Google it, you can get them almost anywhere.

  • If it's an infection, did you also get an antibiotic? It seems like you need one. And the only other thing I can think of is to drink lots of water. Hugs, hope you feel better soon.

  • He didnt give me an antibiotic. He says he does not like to give them unless its really needed. He gave me Allegra and basically said it has to run its course.

  • Along with the Netti pot saline solution, put a spray of nasal spray in it.

  • Take 2 garlic pills 3x per day. Garlic is a natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory. Use a saline spray to cleanse your nasal passages.
