3 Bumps

If it became worldwide news that all the people you were trying to hire had tax evasion problems

wouldn't you quietly, after the noise died down, double check and make sure the rest of your employees are caught up?

$1 billion owed by federal workers nationwide (and these numbers rack up on both sides of the aisle) Among the highlights:
three employees at the Office of Government Ethics owed a combined $75,000, I'm sure Rangel was their idol
41 employees at the Executive Office of the President owed $831,000
During 2008 and 2009 - when the financial crisis took hold and the economy started sinking - the Senate debt increased 80 percent and the House debt increased 25 percent.

My favorite part - it says it dropped slightly when Dems took back congress 3 years ago, and then proceeded to increase up to where it had been and surpass it.

Anyone still planning to re-elect any incumbents this year?

  • They all should have their wages garnished or pensions garnished considering the taxpayers are paying for their salaries. It looks like the military is the worst culprit, especially the retirees.

  • If any of us did not pay our taxes the IRS would be all over us. The people we employ are telling us, Don't do as we do, but do as we tell you. When did we the people lose control, we have let government get to big, and now we the people can not control it.

  • What cheats. That is really messed up. Funny how they're probably making a lot more money than the average joe. Support higher taxes for higher income earners. They're in that group! And are not paying the right taxes! That is true deception right there.

  • Yes, I would have checked..but then I tend to be honest about things. Nancy didn't do a very good job draining the swamp did she? IMO these people should be fired, lose their benefits/pensions/perks and quite possibly go to jail.

  • Why are there no consequences for these people who don't pay their taxes, yet for us common people, we get in MAJOR trouble? That is what I cannot understand!

And special, Nancy didn't get that swamp drained because there was no $$ at first, and then when she had the opportunity to get the funding for the swamp-drainer, she was in such a hurry to write the stimulus that she forgot all about it! (She is getting pretty old, ya know!! Not to mention the side effects of the Botox exposure...)
