  • Hot shower or just run the hot shower close the door and sit in the room with him to let the steam help drain the mucus out

  • Vicks vapo rub works well. A cool mist vaporizer in his room is good too. Hope he gets better fast. Have him drink some OJ too. :)

  • Find a way to gave him echinacea daily, orange juice and more antioxidants, my son was asthmatic, but with this remedies he is OK more than 1 year without asthma and no flu.

  • How old is he? If he's an infant you can use an aspirator to suction out his nose. if he's older the humidifier and vicks mentioned above work great (for all ages, really). Also, saline spray can be used for any age. Hot peppermint tea if he's old enough, chicken soup, too. Hot liquids help drain sinuses, bonus if it's spicy, like green chili stew :)

  • carefull with the honey unless he's over 2!! most honey labels have those warnings on them. But a strong smelling tea or one that boosts antioxidants should help like echinachia which was mentioned before. Peppermint is really good to breathe in to open nasal passage ways as well as sore throats!! A "steamy" bath with mint extract or vicks bubble bath. It's like a humidifier and vicks vapor rub all in one but since they'll most likely splash in it, it'll get on his face and really help soak in to break up sinus congestion.
