can your dr tell if your ovulating from a pap smear?

  • They can do a fern test from the cervical mucus. But it's not part of a pap smear.

  • A fern test is to test for presence of amniotic fluid leakage during pregnancy. There isn't a way for a pap to determine anything except whether or not your cervical cells are normal or abnormal

  • a nurse in my doc office told me at my pap that it looked like i was about to ovulate....she saw the fertile cervical mucus....clear stretchy(looks like eggwhites)
