What veggies/side dishes do you serve with your Christmas dinner?

I go with turnip, squash, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, rolls or biscuits, carrots and or green beans, and sometimes pickled beets or a relish.

  • I personally love broccoli with melted cheese. Other options we choose from are mashed potatoes, buttered corn, corn and carrots, buttered steamed veggies, macaroni salad, macaroni and cheese for the kids, and chips with salsa.

  • We always go to relatives for holiday dinners but they've pretty much axed that becausethey're getting tired of doing it so I plan on doing it myself this year 1st time. We are vegetarians but this is what we like: Broccoli casserole, mac 'n'cheese, crecent rolls, herb stuffing, cranberry sauce, 2 kinds of cake(varies), mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fried okra, and green bean casserole. Thanksgiving is the same with the sub of cakes for pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie. Easter is the same as Christmas but with different cakes.

  • Squash, potatoes, sometimes scalloped corn. Granted, we're usually a small group and sometimes it's just our immediate family.

  • We always have holiday dinners with hubby's family so it's a free for all what MIL is cooking. I do usually so a smaller version of dinner at home for us and the sides we do are mashed potatoes with gravy, corn and home made green beans. Sometimes we will do sweet potatoes too.
