all hot dogs are 'unhealthy'?

Because of the processing, fat...why? Do you feel all beef or Kosher hotdogs are equally unhealthy? What about polish sausages or sausage links? Just curious. My opinion is they are fine in moderation but I do prefer an all beef kosher dog and I LOVE the new Ball Park Angus dogs.

  • Everything in moderation!! I love the Oscar Meyer Angus hot dogs; all beef, no nitrates - and they taste great!

  • I'd say most are. We buy ones that are 100% meat and made without any fillers or nitrates or chemical flavorings/preservatives.

  • Most processed meats are unhealthy for you because of the high amounts of salt, fat, nitrates, nitrites, chemical colorings & flavorings, etc., but their are more & more healthier options becoming available, and, as you said, the occasional hotdog isn't going to kill you. I'm not particularly fond of hotdogs myself, but my son loves them.
