Cross country drive, where should we stop and play?

We leave on wednsday to drive from Seattle to Miami. I do not think you could drive any further! I have looked at the map and we will be going through so many states I have never been to. We usually fly but this time we wanted to show our daughter our beautiful country. If you have a second take a quick look at the general route from Seattle to the Miami Port. If we drive through your state tell me about it. We have 2weeks to make the drive. Thanks in advance!

  • When we plan a road trip, we use http://www.randmacnally.com/ and it will give you neat places to see along your destination.  When we started taking road trips with our kids we bought each of them a large USA patch and a set of mini sharpies for mom (I could see them turning each other into doodle bears in the back seat).  As we drive through a state we color it in.  Their goal is to have all of the states colored in, and we are more than half way there, it's been a lot of fun.  We put their patches on a thin blanket and now they collect patches from places when we stop to add to it.

  • When you drive through Atlanta, stop at the Georgia Aquarium. It is the world's largest aquarium. http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/
