  • Water-based lubricant is the ONLY kind of lubricant you should EVER use, pregnant or not. Non-water based, such as petrolium: are incompatable with condoms, interfere with the pH of your vagina leading to infections (yeast, bacteria), and over time can actually INCREASE dryness. For the woman who is having trouble with lubrication, see above, DON'T use non-water based, stick with KY or Astroglide. Also, stick with original and avoid those with "extras" such as heating/cooling effects, etc. It is not "abnormal" for you to need extra stimulation to "self-lubricate." That just happens to be your body. If you are really concerned, discuss it with your healthcare provider. Otherwise, try the water-based lubricants.

  • From what i heard it's fine because you can be much more sensitive and dry out easier. It was recommended in a book i read.

  • Yes. It is better to use it if you need it than not to use it, that's for sure.

  • Anon.. you can't imagine why I would need lube? Not every woman is a freaking water fountain.. some need a little help, especially when pregnant.
