(Easy)book recommendations for 9 yr old boy please.

My son is 9 and struggles with reading. He must read 20 minutes a night for school. I know of the Magic Tree House series but need some other suggestions. Reading level around 2.5 - 3. He loves magic, animals, art etc. Thanks!

  • What about Captain Underpants or Flat Stanley. Do you get Scholastic book order forms sent home from school? They're full of great books for kids and are age appropriate. There are easier versions of the Hardy Boys books coming out too.

  • Does your school have a website? If so, you should be able to review their library catalogue for what books they have on their AR list for his reading level.
