what tv shows have been helping your child learn?

of course it's not just the tv I rely on, but there are some wonderful educational shows out there! My son, 2 1/2, learns a lot from blues clues, yo gabba gabba and old school sesame street (which they show a lot of pbs sprout yaaay!). I grew up on sesame street and romper room! Those are the only shows he seems to adore and responds to. He also likes Dora.

  • pinky dinky do (vocabulary), diego (animals), and a show on hbo family called crashbox which has a little bit of everything and they really do remember stuff from that show (it's kinda wierd and creepy imo, but it apparently is really good at teaching them stuff about science, math, vocabulary and history)

  • Well my child is a teenager so I would say the Tyra show teaches her that stupid people do exist and to do her home work so she won't end up working with them.

  • Blues Clues, Sesame Street (he loves playing the games on, even), and - don't laugh - Barney, lol.

And they still have crashbox??? Wow! I remember watching that when I was little! We loved that!
