Potty Training?

Has anyone else had their 2 almost 3 yr-old scream and cry that they don't want to sit on the potty? If so, what did you do? I don't want to force him to sit and make the whole experience bad but I don't want to give in every time either.

  • Mine sometimes does that and I just tell her that if she wants to be a big girl and go to school and make lots of new friends then she has to learn how to do this on her own. Maybe you can try that if you havent already done it.

  • yep. he's trained and still sometimes he doesn't want to go lol. potty time takes away play time to kids, so it's not a fun occasion. i just made and make him go anyway, whether he wants to or not. got him trained didn't it? :)

  • My little girl does the same...She doesn't want anything to do with the potty, don't even say the word! We have tried everything from rewards, candy, movies, stickers, telling her about being a big girl...on and on..nothing, won't do it. Can't force it she must not be ready?

  • if its a peeing issue put some froot loops and let him stand and try to have him pee on them to make them go under water n when hes older have him shoot for the middle to help with aim as for a girl let her watch you so she can see nothing bad will happen she or he might just be scared of the flushes that in there lil heads will get them n take them away to you might be able to do the foot loops with the girls to idk mine never had an issue so havnt tryed it yet n the babys not old enough yet gl
