  • The white spots are probably build up from the mop 'n glow, as it tends to do that over time, especially since it isn't meant to be used on wood floors and could harm them. Your best bet for cleaning the floor is a simple 50/50 mix of white vinegar & water, because it will clean up the dirt without leaving behind any residue. You should also make sure the floor is completly sealed before using any type of liquid on it because water will destroy an unsealed floor quickly. The floor may also need to be refinished if it has been damaged over the years. If your wood floor is painted and if the paint is coming off, the floor will more than likely need to be refinished & resealed to look good again.
