Thinking about making a doll house for my grandaughter--any suggestions?

I've been thinking about starting a project over winter to make my grandaughter a doll house. Not to sure where to start--thinking maybe boxes as I'm not good at cutting wood etc.

  • best thing to do if you don't want to use wood is check out local flea markets, craigslist, etc for pre made ones and personalize it.. or here is one that is premade that you can personalize:

you could use this, then paint it, put little shingles on the roof, maybe some planter boxes etc.

  • Hobby Lobby if you have one has tons of kits for doll houses.
I think they are fun to decorate you can get carpet samples from your carpet store, linoleum also, cut pictures out of magazines and glue onto card board they need to be fairly small. The pizza round holder things make great little tables they also have furniture kits made out of wood you can put togther. The list is endless if you have an imagination

I traded the woodworking part with a friend who likes that kind of thing in exchange for helping with the parts she didnt like to do we worked on together my friend and I over several weeks it was great fun and when we done we didnt want to give our kids the dollhouses (but we did) have fun you can also do dollhouses like a shadow box that can be a great option just google easy to make dollhouse
