what kind of butter/margerine do you like? in the tub or stick?

  • I like Brummel and Brown in the tub for bread, toast and such. For baking and cooking, I use real butter. I like Challenge best, but it's not available at some stores here, so I use store brand then.

  • Sticks for baking--whatever's cheapest. Move Over Butter in the tub for spreading.

  • Dude, margarine is the DEVIL. Gross.
    Only unsalted butter. Never, ever margarine, nothing that comes out of a 'tub'.
    You can't cook with it, you can't bake with it, it won't make a roux, it won't make a decent cookie...it's just awful stuff. If there's actual, real butter available, why would you use margarine?
