  • i was 19 when i had my first and i feel like i wasn't ready. 5 years later, and everything is fine. you just go with the flow and you grow up. i think that there's some 15 and 16 year olds out there who are wonderful mothers, and then there are some 22 or 23 yr olds who don't know the first thing about being a mother. JMO.

  • IMO a woman should wait until she is at least 21 or 22. 18 at the absolute youngest! You should be out of high school and have spent a few years in the real world first.

  • I would say 18. so you can get a job to support a baby and have a driver's license to get the baby to the doctor when it is sick. And I know it varies from state to state but 18 when you become an adult and can give consent to sex.

  • When your old enough to support it financially on your own or with your husband. That could be any age over 16 I guess. Just because you get a period at 10, 11 or 12 does not mean you should have a baby that young.

  • You definately need to be out of high school, be married, and be able to support it yourself

  • Can you provide for a child?
Can you see to their needs?
Can you handle not sleeping in order to care for a child without feeling burdened?
Can you give them the attention, love, treatment, and support they deserve?
Can you live without much of a social life?

  • It's all up to you. If you want to bring a human being into this world, and you know what that baby requires, then more power and luck to you. Before you decide, take a month or so to read everything you can about not only pregnancy and childbirth, but what a newborn, a toddler, and a child truely need. And after you have gained all of that knowledged, weigh your options. What does your heart tell you? Only you can make this choice. No matter what your choice, you will find at least ONE person who will support you no matter what! Including me!!
