Parenting??

So how long have you been parenting either your own children or anyone else's? I'm just bored and curious.

I have been parenting for 10 or so years now; so just about half of my life.

  • My parents were on drugs and whatnot, we (my younger sister and I) did not really have our parents actually THERE when we were younger, so I spent most of my time between the ages of 12 and 17 trying to do the best I could for her (she is 5 years younger) before I moved out on my own, took a 3 year break, then she came to live with my boyfriend and I, and then we got pregnant.

So....to really answer your question, at age 22 I have spent approximately 6-7 years parenting either my sister or my daughter.

  • I have a 14 year old. If you are bored with your 10 year-old, ENJOY it. The teenage years are right around the corner and they are far from boring. More like constant worrying !

  • bbb1994 - I don't have a 10 year old. I'm only 21. I just have been parenting for 10 years. I had to raise my sisters until I moved out. My son is only 2.
