Should I let him eat as much as he wants?

Man, I think toddlers go from one extreme to another on eating, dont they? LOL. My 19 month old will go days without eating much more than a couple bites of something. So when she comes to a day where she seems to be a bottomless pit...I let her EAT (it doesnt happen often). I think as long as its something healthy that they are eating, its not a big deal. I think they go through growth spurts by the day or something,lol.

My son is like that sometimes (he's 3). Some days he will barely eat anything at all and others he pigs out like crazy. I just let him do it because it's not something he does all the time. If he ate like that constantly, yes I would limit it.

Yes. He's probably about to hit a growth spurt is all. Its really typical behavior. You'll probably notice he's gorging himself for the next few days and getting thick right around the middle, then all of a sudden he'll start shooting up and going back to just grazing over his food. Just encourage his healthy appetite and never deny him food when the desire for it is for real (obviously they always want sugar lol) Start stocking up on that next size of pants lol!

THIS IS A BIG YES !!! In my opinion if a child wants to eat let them eat, they know better than you when they are full.
