Am I considered a SAHM?

I stay home with my children, but I also manage my apartments. I do this within my apartment so I am not leaving to go to a office or anything. I don't get paid but I do get free rent. My children are not put in daycare. They are either with me or in school. It is a small 7 unit complex that usually always stays full so there is really nothing I do. I can come and go as I please. I don't have set hours I have to be home or anything. There is no paperwork I have to do either. All I mainly do is take rent and get the apartment ready for another tenant.

  • I'd say you're a hardworking mother, just like all of us, no matter where we do our work.

  • I think a Work at Home Mom is a better fit but honestly it doesn't really matter what title you have. :0)

  • Well in a way you are a WAHM and a SAHM. I don't lean to much towards WAHM since you don't actually get paid., but then again you still have a job.

  • Depends. You really need to read Robert Kiyosaki's book "The Business of the 21st Century". Get it at the library or order off of Amazon. It will change your life.
