Did you marry your father?

I've heard people say that women tend to be attracted to men who are like their father. Is that true in your relationship? Is your husband/boyfriend comparable to your father either in mannerisms, beliefs, actions, etc.?

  • They are similar in very FEW aspects. But he did get my daddy's approval. I see that has a big plus.

  • Yes, I sure did. My Father's and DH's are on the same day but of course 20 years apart. My father is a hard working man who is devoted to his family and that is what I wanted in a husband and a father for my children.

  • My husband is a much better man than my father.

  • Nope my husband could not be anymore different than my father if he tried. My Dad is an alcoholic, selfish lost in lala land kind of person. My husband hardly drinks, is very family oriented and is very down to earth. I definitely did not marry my father.
