What meat do you cook most nights??

I end up cooking chicken because it is cheap, and I really despise ground beef.... LOL

  • On the weekends I poach chicken breasts, shred it and freeze it in appropriate sized portions (using my food saver) and then when I want to cook with it, I just pull it out of the freezer in the morning and toss it in the fridge. Then when I get home I either use it for a bbq chicken pizza, bbq chicken sandwiches or quesadilla pie. I also brown up a big batch of ground beef with diced onions and peppers and some basic seasoning and freeze it in portions like the chicken. I use it as a quick base for spaghetti, tacos, sloppy joes, etc.

  • venison - husband hunts and he got 5 deer last year. We're finally almost through all of it - which is good, cause the season starts up again shortly....
