School lunches?

Do your children prefer to pack a lunch, or but the school lunch? I have 2 daughters ....1 buys and 1 brings.

  • My kids prefer me to pack their lunch...and it's cheaper too. Let me know if you need some ideas.

  • They get free lunches at school. It's better than what we have at home (just PB&J, water and saltine crackers).

  • Mine all eat at school. They get reduced price lunches, so they eat for 40 cents each. With the peanut bans, there is no way I could make them a lunch for less than 40 cents a day including milk, so that is what we do for now.

  • it half and half.... if they like whats on the menu they buy.... if not they bring. We have a very healthy menu so I don't mind either way! We are also peanut free so it's cheaper if they buy... and we don't qualify for reduced lunch

  • I grew up with this as a rule of thumb : If I had to pay full price then it was my choice, but if I got reduced or free lunches, I had to eat at school.

  • son is not in school yet. but i will make all his lunches to control what he eats. i'm picky about what goes in my families bodies.
