  • No, I purposely do not give them every thing they want. They have more than a lot of kids and less than a lot. I often wonder about the kids who give them everything they ask for. What do they have to look forward to when they're older? I mean, if you have your own cell phone, computer, xbox, digital camera, etc., etc., what do you work towards later? My daughter's 16 and she just bought her own laptop with the money she earned lifeguarding this summer. She was so thrilled! There's no way she would've appreciated it nearly as much if I'd bought it for her.

  • Yes I probably do... My son has had a very rough life so I try to get him the things he really wants when I can, may take a while but he usually gets it.

  • My son is thirteen yrs. old and the only way I indulge him is if comes home with a good report card. He knows this and we are both fine with this. I do this with my daughter also.
