What do you do if your toddler absolutely will not go to sleep?

Tonight, my son didn't hit the hay until 11! It was insane! I don't LIKE letting him stay up that late but he wouldn't stay in bed and instead of just playing quietly in his room like he usually does, he was throwing his toys and yelling at me because he wanted to watch tv! Ugh! It was so frustrating. I didn't know what to do, so I just let him stay in there and throw fits. I hope this doesn't become a nghtly thing...

  • must be somethin in the air, lol. my 9 month old grandson would not go to bed either. I cant just let him throw a fit cause he cries so hard he chokes. I finally just held him & wouldnt let him wiggle around & rocked him to sleep. I pray he stays asleep.

  • Not sure how old we are talking here but at 2.5 years my twins were giving me a rough time at bedtime. I cut out their naps and bedtime became easy as pie again.
