Is it normal to menstrate one month but not the next while breastfeeding?

  • Yes. Breastfeeding hormones interact with the rest of the hormones in your body and many women are very sensitive to them... making irregular period common.

  • Yes it is. There is a whole range of "normal" while nursing, from nothing to irregular to clockwork. Any of the above can happen.

  • yep. i didn't get my period back (if you could even call it that) until about 2 months ago. it then skipped a month, and i had it just recently. dd is 26 and a half months old!!

  • Yes. I had one almost right away, after the initial stuff, and then not again until DS was 15 months old.
