Looking for a theme for my soon to be three years old birthday. First year....sesame street....second, flowers, and lady bugs. She doesn't know what disney or barbie is (my choice) so any other suggestions would be great.

  • A fancy tea party theme? Have you read the Fancy Nancy books to her? My cousin did a Fancy Nancy tea party and it was so cute! Everyone dressed up with feather boas, big hats, etc. and they ate little finger sandwiches and cookies.

  • My daughter was never into the princesses much - we did an under the sea theme - dolphins, whales, starfish etc; another year we did a country/farm party - jeans, tshirts and we bought little cowboy hats for them to decorate from Oriental trading. Even the girly girls liked it because it was different.

  • Abbie Cadabby is a 3 y/o so there's that option, but you might not like it b/c of sesame st first year.
    It could by Abby/Fairy themed

My DD's bday for 4 was Pinkalicious (I'm not a fan of the title of this book so it may be something you guys haven't DD learned of it thanx to daycare)

I would love to do a tea party for my daughter...if other kids involved bring favorite doll/bear to tea let them play dress up or something

To add to the oriental trading suggestion, they sell sand art supplies which was a HUGE hit at my DD's bday as well

Good luck...please let us know what you come up with!

  • That's for all your suggestions...the butterfly one sounds great and the tea party thing I will be do but I think I will wait until she's four! I just bought the Pickalicious books through her school so will have to take a look at them when we get them.

  • We did Rock n Roll & yes my 3 year old daughter picked the theme. She wanted a "guitar" birthday. So we had toddler rock n roll music, a guitar cake, inflatable guitars & microphones, etc.
