Zyrtec or Claritin for a 3 year old with allergies?

My son started seasonal allergies this week. Which allergy medication is better if you have tried them? Thanks!

  • My son tried Claritin and that didn't work. Zyrtec worked better for him.

  • I think it may differ from child to child. Just see what works best for your kiddo.

  • Same as miraclebabymine. Claratin worked somewhat but not enough. Went to Zyrtec and all symptoms are gone

  • My kids were on Zyrtec all summer. DD#3 was still having problems. Switched her to Claritin 5mg chewables and she's perfect unless we forget a dose.
