You get a rebate check in the mail with an expiration, do you splurge it on yourself that day, call husband go out to lunch, or put it on a bill?

I just got a rebate from cellular service and I called my husband for him to take off and lets go celebrate without kids for a few hours!!! Even though I should put it on a bill or spend it on kids, I want to do something spontaneous!

  • I would do the same thing....the bill will eventually get paid, but we do not get to splurge enough

  • Honestly, I would probably splurge with half, and put the other half on a bill.

  • I just deposit it in our checking or savings account.

  • most of my rebates i have to use where i bought item from, but if it s a check depending on how much i would either save it or use it for something we need

  • Depends if we needed it for something more important.

  • girl in my case i would put it on as many bills as possible. free money just paid some bills. then you got the money that you would have spent on those bills to use on something else. giving you a lil room to breathe.

  • I "should" put it on bills, but I know I would splurge!

  • I did go out to Olive Garden with my husband for lunch while kids were in school. Tonight is going to be hectic with the kids activities so I thought we should go relax for even a few hours. Its was fun. Plus we still have some money left over for later. wahoo!
