can you freeze eggs ?

  • Yes. You must first crack them open and beat them. You can thaw them individually in ice cube trays (if you have an oversized one).

    1/4 c beaten egg = 1 large egg.

    They're good kept in the chill chest for about 6 months, as long as you remove all excess air so that they do not get freezer burn.

  • same answer as obbydobbie...
    though, I've had trouble trying to beat egg whites til they are stiff after they've been frozen... I just use them for egg white omlette or something like that

  • Yes but you won't want to use them for baking after....just cooking!

  • If you separate them, you can freeze the yolks ok, but the whites will lose their ability to fluff up because small ice crystals that form puncture the protein cells.
