  • Eleven or twelve. I think it's sad if they find out too soon. I guess I'm just sentimental about letting kids be kids as long as you can.

  • i was 8. my stepmother told me. it was also the same year my mother died. man was my dad pissed at her, lol.

  • My oldest daughter found out about 6 or 7 when she figured it out on her own. She did not tell me for years. She finally confessed (about 12ish) that she did not want to dissappoint our fun, but thought it was funny that we did not know she knew! So she became the official "gift-coordinator" between the families and was the only one who got to know what everybody was getting! (We asked her if anybody had gotten the new high-speed techno toy for her brothers yet, and if so we would keep looking for ideas) That kept her from feeling like she should say anything to the younger ones.
