  • I think that it is just the ones that cover the face (the niqab and burqa), not the ones that just cover the hair (hijab).

  • Unfortunately, not all countries practice freedom of speech and freedom of religion, where the law protects your right to dress and worship how ever the hell you want, and no matter how much someone else whines about it, it's none of their business.

  • Are they banning Nuns attire?

  • Sweet, maybe they will when the world starts having problems with nuns becoming suicide bombers.

  • I think its terrible, to some people that is a very important part of their religion, it is one of the reasons I am glad we live in America, and think that we need to make sure that the freedoms we hold so dear dont get taken away.

  • It's not law yet; a French constitutional watchdog agency has to confirm its legality first.

  • They are doing it to protect the citizens of the country from hidden amunition.. (not to say that there would be, but there's a possibility still) and they think a woman shouldn't have to hide her face and hair because they believe strongly in women's rights. I don't necessarily see the problem... They are not banning the religion...
