  • Sounds like you're doing good. The warm humidifier will help break it up. If she's having trouble laying flat, you could elevate the head of her bed. Warm chicken noodle soup. Drink lots of water. Dairy/milk thickens mucous so kinda cut back on it awhile. These things seem to take forever to go away.

  • When my little ones have colds/congestion we usually do a nice warm Vicks Vapor Bath. Then I rub Vicks (or Baby Vicks) into their feet and put socks on them. When they go to bed, I prop them up with an extra pillow under their head (or slightly prop up the crib mattress from beneath) so that they're not lying flat. This helps keep things drained so congestion is at a minimum. I also run a cool mist humidifier to keep the air saturated.

Hope your little one gets better soon!

  • she does not have milk, she has almond milk
i wish she would keep socks on, she HAS to be barefoot when at home, lately i am working on her keeping slippers on- i call them princess slippers, she is not falling for the princess thing attached to slippers (spd issues, she does keep clothes on now-thankk God, but still has sock issues) but i like that one-vicks on feet and socks
cough suckers- i will have to find with no LAKE dyes, she has huge issues with artfical food dyes and it is in meds, so did not know they made couch suckers- i love these- now to pray that the company did not put red 40, yellow 5 and blue 1 in them

we are in wisconsin, and everyone i talk to either has, has had, or knows someone with this chest conjestion thing, i took mulcelix so mine stayed at bay, step son-14 had fever one day with cough for a few and step daughter-10 had a sore throat for only 24 hours th she is the healthy child in the world
