  • Our high school has a manditory 40 hours of community service program in order for the seniors to graduate. Seeing as they have 4 yrs to complete it, they should all be able to fulfill it without a problem. My dd has close to 200 hours of community service on the books already

  • My son isn't a teenager yet, but I think it is important to volunteer in the community. I did as a teenager and I will encourage him to do the same.

  • My son is 8 and we are looking into him volunteering his time somewhere. I don't think it's a necessity but I'm hoping it will give him something to focus on in his teens years to keep him out of trouble.

  • My sons did when they were in high school. They need 100 hours of community service to graduate here. All 4 of my sons graduated with well over the required hours. The least anyone had was 215 hours by my 22yo and the most anyone had was 301 hours by my 18yo. The other 2 fell in the middle with 245 and 275. They didn't do community service JUST because it was required and there were a lot of hours that they didn't write down. As adults all 4 still volunteer their time.
