When did your baby start walking?

My son will be 15 months on the 29th and still doesn't want to walk. He will walk with push toys but that's it. My daughter started walking right after a year but my little man just isn't interested

  • My first would not walk outside his walker or when he was not holding on to furniture. Finally right before he turned a year old we stood him up between us and walked from me to DH. My second started walking at 10 months. It was crawling she had a problem with. But right after she started crawling it seemed she was walking.

  • mine started walking at 10 months but it just depends on the child. i would also have the doctor check to see if his muscles and tendons are formed right. i am not saying they are not it is just to make sure and that if they are you can do what is necessary to help him
also can hold his hands and have him walk while holding your hands see if that helps him get the idea that he can walk with out the walker .

  • My daughter was almost 14 months. Her doctor said they're not considered delayed until 15 months (but I've heard several stories of kids walking later than that, and they were fine). But he also said that if they walk with a push toy or toy stroller that that counts as walking.
