Anyone take a stuffed animal for themselves to the hospital for labor?

I plan on taking my 10 year old nylon Pikachu to help comfort me during the painful labor process. He's a bath buddy so he's extremely squishy so I can grip him when in pain. Childish I know but surely others still have a cherished friend like this? (I have him with my just about every night as a comfort when I found out I was now high risk.)

  • Hehe:) There's nothing wrong with adults having loveys too! I took the stuffed bear my mom had in the room when I was born. His name is Scruffy & he now sits in one of those stuffed animal hanging sack deals in my sons room.

  • I don't take one with me, but my DH always brings me one while I'm in there... He gets me a new Cow for every anniversary and baby...

  • I had a body pillow, so I didn't have room for my bear.
